Opel Insignia announced Country Tourer model will be officially launched this September at the engine of this year’s fair in Frankfurt. Opel Insignia Sports Tourer will feature Country 20mm higher ground clearance and underbody protection.Opel has provided electronically controlled Haldex 4×4 system and an electronic limited slip differential limited slip.
Opel’s design philosophy, “sculptural artistry meets German precision”, has evolved primarily to the front of the car. The chrome grille gloss is wider and lower than before. Strip carrying the Opel logo is thinner at the ends of a vertical fins that visually connect with redesigned headlights.
Depending on the configuration, these headlights come with bi-xenon headlamps and safety lighting system AFL +. Headlight housings are black, high-gloss chrome with embossed details and include daytime running lights in a distinctive wing-shaped LED.
Details at the bottom of the bumper are designed to act small and widespread, in order to emphasize the size of the upper grille. Fog lights are combined with wide black inserts and chrome accents.
The new Insignia is proportionately wider and lower back of the design. The chrome strip is placed on the lower tailgate and includes Opel logo. Lengthen the brake lights and includes a narrow reversing lights. In this way, tail lights is visually divided into two parts.

From the home screen, the driver can access all the functions and submenus, such as radio stations, song titles, links to your smartphone or 3D navigation map, and pressing the button, the touch-screen, voice control, or making a brand new touch-fall.
At Opel explain that the touch pad integrated in the center console, which results in a completely new way of quick and intuitive access to the system for information and entertainment. Its illuminated touch-sensitive surface responds instantly to your fingertips, including tactile feedback, making the management of multimedia system safer, without taking time to look at the driver.
In addition, the driver can control the system through the buttons on the steering wheel, as already mentioned by voice command. Voice recognition function can be activated by simply pressing a button on the steering wheel, and it can process more than one command at a time.
The new dashboard is equipped with a color screen, high resolution. In addition to the classic readings such as speed, engine rpm, fuel level, etc., there are additional navigation information, the use of smart phones and audio options.
In addition, Opel engineers have introduced a variety of enhancements to the chassis, as well as shock absorbers, stabilizers and steering wheel, which resulted in the reduction of noise and vibration, and even greater comfort.

Both versions have a considerable torque, turbo diesel engine with 88 kW/120 hp to 320 Nm, a model with 103 kW/140 hp to 370 Nm – thanks to the automatic overboost function.
Diesel engine 2.0 BiTurbo CDTI with 143 kW/195 hp reaches a torque of 400 Nm.
Among the turbo petrol engines allocate two units with direct injection: 2.0 SIDI Turbo with 184 kW/250ks and 400 Nm of torque, the 1.6 SIDI Turbo from the latest generation of engines with 125 kW/170ks and 260-280 Nm.
Both engines can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and start / stop function, or a new six-speed automatic transmission. In addition to front-wheel drive, 2.0 L SIDI version is available from the drive to all four wheels.
As an alternative to conventional drive systems there is a cost-effective option, the Opel Insignia 1.4 installation of 103 kW/140 hp with a maximum torque of 200 Nm. Like the petrol version, a variant of the liquefied petroleum gas meets the strict criteria of the future Euro 6 standards when it comes to emissions, with fuel consumption of 7.6 l/100 km (Sports Tourer: 7.9 l/100 km) and CO2 emissions of 124 g / km (Sports Tourer 129 g / km CO2).
